Join us to meet amazing co-designers and enthusiasts with varied backgrounds and experiences!
One of our aim to make you experience how tunnel vision, loss of dexterity, deafness and other disabilities feel like in the AT exploratorium and through disability simulations.
We also connect you to the local people (co-designers and enthusiasts) in your city interested in studying disability and creating disability aids.
During the workshop, along with the above activities, every group (of about 6 people) work on a particular problem that a co-designer faces and attempt to come up with a theoretical model or prototype to solve it.
MISTI together with the Humanistic Co-Design Initiative invite you to a half-day virtual workshop on Assistive Technology and Design on the 18th of July.
Co-design’20 is an immersive half-day virtual workshop where we will learn how to create assistive technology solutions for our disabled peers. By applying Humanistic Co-Design Process and learning about various disabilities, you will work in cross-disciplinary teams on pre-set challenges to come up with an established solution by the end of the workshop.
Co-CreATe '20 Riyadh brings together students from MIT and local universities to apply this co-design process to the identification, documentation, and prototyping of early-stage innovations in assistive technology products. The workshop is focused on empowering local designers, makers, and engineers (citizen-inventors) to collaboratively develop new assistive technologies alongside local people living with disabilities (co-designers).
